TSM character animation

The first example of character design is an animated camera that walks into the frame of the scene and then takes a picture. When the picture takes place it becomes scared and moves out of the frame of the scene. One thing that I liked about this animation is the personality that comes from the facial expressions of the little camera. When I am making my character I want the viewers to be able to relate to the animation because of the expressions that the character exudes. One thing that I am also intrigued by is the use of sound in the scene. I don't know if we will be incorporating this into the Maya rendering but it definitely adds dimension to the animation.  It would also be interesting to experiment with the color palette of the scenes but in this particular animation, I am not totally in love with the color choices.
The second is an example of a poodle and the different stages of its design. I really loved the design of the poodle, I feel like it really captures the connotations that are associated with the poodle breed, such as prim, feminine, and prissy. I feel that the way that the overall character design of this feeds into those connotations. I am also intrigued by the texture of the fur that is created, I don't know if this is something that we will cover during this semester or even be able to be achieved for this final project.
