TSM Product I Am Inspired By

 

When thinking about this next assignment for this TSM 3d modeling class I would like to go in the direction of product/furniture design. The furniture that is featured below is an abstract chair which is one of the inspirations that helped to start my brainstorming for the second assignment. I really liked the various abstract forms that are found in this piece, which was created by Alejandro Cerón. When looking at this work you can see the focus of the design is based around free flowing forms that make the piece sculptural as well as it functioning as a chair that is practical and comfortable for users to experience and interact with. The first time that I saw this I though of a rocking chair/ rocking horse based off of the shape of the piece. I am thinking that maybe I would like to explore the chair design while potentially incorporating/combining the form of a saddle into the furniture design.
