When looking for interactive websites I came across the website radio.garden that allows the user to listen to radio stations from all over the world. The website is a globe that has little green dots all over it, which are the lists of radio station. The user can move the cursor to move to different cities, countries, and continents. When the user chooses where they want to listen to they then have the option to choose from a list of the stations that are offered. This gives the user the ability to experience the different stations and types of music that are played in that city. At the top right of the page the link to the radio station is listed if the user wanted to listen and look more in depth into that radio station. If the user finds that a city doesn't offer a radio station they are able to fill out a submission for a station to be listed on the map.
I think this interactive website is very simple but it is an amazing way for to experience different cultures from around the world. Music plays a very prominent role in peoples lives so creating a website that allows people to connect with other cultures and music is a very interesting concept that this website effectively uses. The site is also a great way for people who are interesting in learning a new language this is a way to practice and learn a new language. Listening to people talk and immerse themselves in the language and music is a great stepping stone for people who are interested in learning a new language.
