2020 website critique notes

                                                      Website Critique Notes 

I thought that the critique was very helpful for me to see things that I might not have seen when I was designing my website. Once I was told about certian elements and layouts form my website I was able to learn from my mistakes. There are still things that I know I need to correct after I learn more about how to include a gallery within my portfolio page as the semester goes on. For my gallery page I would like to create sections based on the mediums which would then lead to a page of images that can be selected on and the image will appear bigger on the screen. I also took away from the advice that was given, was that I need change certain parts to make my website more effective and to help market myself in a better way.  Here are some of the notes and ideas that I took away from my critique.

- Work with color theory (expand my pallet)
- Change width in the coding to 100%
- Add more to portfolio page such as sections like graphic design, drawings, photography, and     interactive projects
- Language is very important (check spelling and grammar all the time)
- Potentially add commissions/ freelance projects on contact page
- Make sure that text is big enough to read
- Create links to instagram and email
- Change space between text and photo on about page
- Make About and Artist Statment in the same tense and create definite breaks between the two
- Photography plays a role in the theme of the website
- Utilize Abobe color it can help with creating a color pallette for my website
- Work on the resume page (market yourself better)
- reductive = less is more
- potentially create a page just for design
